Belgrade, Central Serbia, Serbia
Not set.

Serbia's capital is a vibrant metropolis of cobbled streets and wide boulevards that is best experienced for its people and atmosphere rather than its historic sights. The city owes its regional standing to its café culture, nightlife and joie de vivre rather than to historic monuments that beg to be seen. Standing at the confluence of the Sava and Danube rivers, and at the frontier of the Hapsburg and Ottoman empires of old, Belgrade has seen history being made more often than it might care to remember. Now that the worst of the bad times seem over, the city is open for business once again - it never really closed. From morning to late at night, old-timers stroll its shopping streets looking for bargains, while beautiful young people sip Turkish coffee in any one of the city's numerous theme cafes. But Belgrade is far more than just people-watching - it is a green place too, with more parks than any of its European neighbors and a surprisingly relaxed, laid-back air.

Nightlife and accommodation in Belgrade,

(posted 2010-07-08)
If there's one thing that Belgrade does not lack, it is places to go out. In fact, the nightlife here is probably on a par with much bigger (and far more popular!) cities - the selection of bars, pubs, cafes, and clubs is too vast for a comprehensive listing to be made here, so instead what you will find here is a set of general guidelines, our recommendations and advice on what you can expect to find where, and a limited but growing list of places and their essential details in the address book. One of the advantages of Belgrade nightlife is that city is pretty safe so you can go basically anywhere at any time. Even in nineties during the authoritarian regime in Serbia - Belgrade was still relatively safe place to go out and have some fun with the nicest women on planet. If you are not taking accommodation in center of Belgrade - one additional advantage compared to neighboring countries is that the prices of Belgrade Taxis are relatively low and if you are taking regular registered company you can have cheap drive to your hotel at any time. And if you need a good accommodation at an affordable price while in Belgrade I can warmly recommend you short term apartments which you can check, together with photos and full descriptions on the following website: Apartments are placed near very popular Streets: Kneza Mihaila, Skadarska and Strahinjica Bana Street - the heart of Belgrade’s night life. For the people who want to have a good time in the most popular cafés and restaurants in Belgrade, our apartments are excellent choice. On the other hand, the apartments are more than suitable for the people who need some peace and quiet, regarding that the apartments are looking back to the peaceful courtyard of the building. They are only on a 5 minute walking distance from the pedestrian zone - Knez Mihailova Street, Republic Square and Kalemegdan the old fortress. For those who enjoy walking by the river side, there is less than 10 minutes walking distance from the river Danube. Come to Belgrade and have a fabulous time!!!
